A Little Rainbow - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends. I'm here today with the details to a card that was featured a few days ago on the Pretty Pink Posh Instagram feed. Not to long ago I picked up another set of Zig real brush markers to give them another shot. I always am in love with the no line coloring I see featured by the incredibly talented Nichol Spohr. Shes been a big influence throughout my card making endeavors over the years so if you don't already follow her (and you probably do!) you definitely should.

Anyways the start of this card came about just with me playing and experimenting. I highly recommend two things with the Zig; Bristol Paper & Lawn Fawn's new Jellyfish ink. I've tried a number of inks for the no line look and this is by far my favorite.

I did the background with a very basic ink blending with distress oxides in Cracked Pistachio. I splattered the whole background with extra ink for texture and interest; like a flower field full of pollen (achoo!) I just planted my own front garden bed with tulips for the first time. I cant wait to see them bloom! To finish the background I stamped the sentiment in a bold black ink as I thought it would help balance the bees.

I stamped and colored a bunch of tulips.  The colors are as follows: 050 Yellow, 052 Bright Yellow (this looks more orange to me) 025 Pink, 045 Pale Green, 031 Cobalt Blue & 081 Light Violet. I only used 1 color per flower and blended out using the blender pen (which I have since lost boooooo!!) The stems are 041 Light Green. I used the same 050 Yellow on the bees along with 010 Black. And a tiny little bit of the Cobalt Blue on the wings. I just love how it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by!
