Hello Crafty Friends! It’s time for another installment of Get Cracking on Christmas hosted by Jenn Shurkus. Every month on the 3rd Thursday we are here with fresh inspiration for you! Please check out Jenn's blog for a full list of each months participants. Don't miss Jenn's LIVE on YouTube December 17th at 8pm ET. www.youtube.com/jennshurkus where she will have a demo on how she put together her card for this month!
My card this month features an old favorite Making Frosty Friends! I decided on a monochrome palette because I kept seeing all these gorgeous examples that I just had to try it for myself. You can view some of my coloring process over on my Instagram under my reels at https://www.instagram.com/cardsbysharna/!
For my background I used distress oxide ink in Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac which creates my favorite shade of periwinkle. I just smooshed the ink onto a craft mat, misted with water and then dipped my cardstock in it. I picked it up as is and dried it with my head tool & then I dipped it a second time for more color/texture. On top of that I used my Gansai Tambi starry colors in white gold to flick on top. Finally for the trees, snowflakes and sentiment I stamped in Blueprint Sketch distress oxide. Lastly for a finishing touch I asked some diamond stickles.
