Coffee with a friend - My Favorite Things

Hello my crafty friends! I’m here with a card featuring some more MFT dragons. I have always loved dragons since I was very small and my dad read me the Hobbit. I even had a dragon tattoo down the middle of my spine! It was my first tattoo at 18 and has evolved over the years. It’s still my favorite. So this card exemplifies my love of dragons and coffee.

I shaded the edges of my dark teal cardstock using black soot distress ink. I like how this technique spotlights the images. The dragons are both copic colored. I combined a few sets in this card just like my last MFT fantasy card. I love how well all the BB sets can work together. This was BB Friends At First Sip, BB Magical Friends & BB Magical Dragons.

Birthday Dragon - My Favorite Things

Hello Crafty Friends! I'm here with a My Favorite Things card featuring some of the older Dragon and Fairy-tale sets. The castle comes from the Knight in Shining Armor set. The dragon, princess & knight all come from the BB Magical Dragons set. And lastly the sentiment comes from Once Upon a time.

I shaded the background using distress oxide ink in Broken China with a bit of Mermaid Lagoon around the edges. I did the same for the pathway using Scattered Straw. The edges of the hills are shaded in Cracked Pistachio to give a little bit of separation between them.

I colored the images using copics. The knight and castle are done in C5, C3 & C1. The dragon is G17, G02 & G000. The dress on the Princess is RV11, RV10 & RV00.

MFT Card Design Superstar Contest 2019

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card that will be my entry for My Favorite Things  2019 Card Design Superstar contest. I chose to do a clean and simple design this year. This card features the new BB Sweater Weather in the Woods stamp set. The clouds I got from another MFT BB set called Prehistoric Fun.

I did some center ink blending on this card with some distress oxide in peacock feathers and then splattered with copic opaque white. The bear is colored using copic markers and then die cut. Marker #s E47, 44, 43 & 41. The jacket is B02, 00, 000 wwith some BG75 & 72 for the details. I added just a hint of BG10 to the edges of the clouds along with some glitter brush pen that cant be seen in the photo.

Hope you enjoyed today's entry!

Thanks for visiting.

I've Bean thinking of you - MFT Stamps

Ever since I saw the card by my friend Christy Gets Crafty using this for set from My Favorite Things Stamps I knew I had to have it! I just love coffee ☕️ and if you don’t know me yet I had five or six cups a day! I’m truly a #coffeeaddict!

I started with the color of the year from Patone and built my palette around that. I really love the peach, pink, navy and mint together. I tried to do my strawberry blond hair for one of the ladies. I like how that turned out. I can relate to her because I have the big wavy hair too. I also grew up with a westie puppy named Cappy so I colored the little dog in the set like her.

MFT Superstar Challenge 2018

I thought I'd give the MFT super star challenge a try this year in the 3 D category (Innovation Master). I saw a very fun technique in a video done by Dawn H. and decided to give it a try. Be prepared for many more cards done like this! It adds a crazy amount of dimension without the added bulk for mailing. I used no foam tape on this card!

And a little video action of how it folds flat!

Supplies Used:
Die-namics Ocean Waves (for the hill)

I'm in love with these tropical stamp sets.
I have a habit of making shakers and this time was no exception.
I used distress ink for the background & the Tiki Party stamps.

I just can't get over the volcano! I just want it to erupt sequins all day long.

Hope you liked it!

Tiki Time - MFT stamps

So I just had to make a quick second post about one of my new cards. I saw the new release from MFT stamps and immediately thought of this card. I bought both sets just because I adore tropical themed cards. I made the shaker with probably every red, yellow, pink and gold sequins I own. Ha! Keep an eye out for several more cards like this. As usual follow me on instagram for my latest and greatest!

I was also featured over on the MFT blog for this card, so go check it out!
