Spooktacular Halloween - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! I hope you have a spooky evening tonight! Halloween has always been a favorite holiday for me. I love horror movies, books etc ever since I was a kid. However I HATE haunted houses! I'll walk through a real graveyard at Midnight on devils night before I do another Haunted House. Ha! I used to not make Halloween cards even though I loved all the images, I mean who do you give them to? My answer now is, other crafters! I love getting Halloween cards. I will be sending out a few this year including this one.

This card features distress oxide ink blending over the Pretty Pink Posh Spider Web Stencil. I used Faded Lilac first in the center. Coming in from the edges I used Blueprint Sketch and then lightly with the black soot. I then splattered the background.

MFT Card Design Superstar Contest 2019

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card that will be my entry for My Favorite Things  2019 Card Design Superstar contest. I chose to do a clean and simple design this year. This card features the new BB Sweater Weather in the Woods stamp set. The clouds I got from another MFT BB set called Prehistoric Fun.

I did some center ink blending on this card with some distress oxide in peacock feathers and then splattered with copic opaque white. The bear is colored using copic markers and then die cut. Marker #s E47, 44, 43 & 41. The jacket is B02, 00, 000 wwith some BG75 & 72 for the details. I added just a hint of BG10 to the edges of the clouds along with some glitter brush pen that cant be seen in the photo.

Pumpkins! - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! Im here with a new card featuring the Pretty Pink Posh August release. This one is waaaaaaay out of my comfort zone! I really loved the new boarder stamps that were included in this release so I was trying different ways to showcase them. Really the simplicity of this card just really hit the mark for me. I also included the new Fall Signs stamps as well because the pumpkin made the perfect spot for a sentiment.

The background is just splattered with some Gansai Tambi Starry Colors in red gold. The images are all colored in Copics. YG97, YG95 & YG93; Y38, Y35 & Y31; YR07, YR04 & YR02; W3 & W1. The stems and sign are all colored with E47 & E44.

Fun With Food - Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 50

Hey everyone, here with an entry for the Lawn Fawnatics 50th challenge! I love all of the fun food sets that Lawn Fawn comes out with but this little S'more is by far my favorite. S'mores are some of my favorite summertime foods. They remind me of all the fun times I spent camping.


**And I realize now I must have been channeling Jessica because I even used the same sentiment. Great minds and all that!!

I made a simple distress oxide ink blended background. I combined twisted citron with mermaid lagoon. I splattered the background with more of the same colors along with some copic opaque white. I die cut using a Lawn Fawn stitched circle. I curved a sentiment to go around the outside of the circle and stamped it in Lawn Fawn's Jet Black ink. The S'mores are copic colored in various shades of brown. The crackers are in e30s, the marshmallows are e50's and the chocolate is e20's. I used a tiny enamle heart from Doodlebug.

Fairy Friend - Mama Elephant

Hello everyone! I've got an extra sweet fairy card today. I was instantly in love with the fairies as soon as I saw a sneak peek from Mama Elephant. They pair so perfectly with the new floral boarder set as well. I always like to have a general occasion card on hand so this worked out perfectly.

For the floral boarder I stamped on some Bristol paper using Jet Black ink from Lawn Fawn and then got out several shades of purple, green and yellow Tombow Dual Brush pens. I used only one color and blended out with a water brush. The fairies are done with copics.

Tombows: 603, 606, 676, 055, 879, 177, 249, 243, N55

Everything Dinos! - Lawn Fawn

I was beyond excited to see more Dino stamps from Lawn Fawn. I absolutely love Dinosaurs ever since I saw Land Before time as a child. I think I got my sass from Cera si I of course had to use the puny sentiment for her.

The sky, grass & sand are all the new Spiffy Speckles paper from Lawn Fawn. Its absolutely perfect for scene setting! The water is some distress oxide in peacock feathers and die cut with die from Bayou Backdrops. The sentiment is distress oxide in mermaid lagoon and I stamped it on the new Fancy Wavy Banners. All my images were stamped using antique linen distress ink and then colored using Tombow Dual Brush markers. They were blended using water and a paint brush. I am loving how this no line adventure turned out. What do you think?

Fairy Delivery - Lawn Fawn

Today  I have another video for you featuring some older Lawn Fawn sets. I had a bit of gnome fever seeing the new set that was coming when I remember this Gnome sweet Gnome set from waaaay back. I ended up combining Gnome Sweet Gnome with Gleeful Gardens & Fairy Friends and the slide on over dies for a fun interactive element. I hope you enjoy the video!

Yippee! A new baby is coming - Lawn Fawn

Hello again friends! Today I have a baby shower card to share. Possibly my second most favorite kind of card to make because I just adore babies (I have another hobby as a Newborn Photographer) and I love sharing the love with new expecting friends. I broke out some of my older Lawn Fawn sets to bring this card together.

I did a simple messy watercolored background here with  regular distress ink in Salty Ocean and a flat bristle brush. Once that was dry I stamped the raindrops from the Hello Sunshine in distress oxide ink also in Salty Ocean. Also, now hidden, I stamped the clouds from the same set. I was unhappy with how that turned out so I got out my Simple Puffy Cloud dies instead.

The Happy Shower sentiment came from the Hello Baby Lawn Fawn stamp set. I love using the mixed fonts. The Happy was white heat embossed with Lawn Fawns white embossing powder which is my go to for sentiments. I didn't feel like it was standing out from the background enough so I used my C1 copic marker to add a drop shadow to the right of each letter. The shower portion was stamped with the same Salty Ocean distress oxide.

I finished the card off with a few simple embelishments. I covered the rain drops in Morning Dew Nuvo crystal drops. A handful of Sparkling Clear sequins in various sizes. I covered the bottom cloud with my Aqua Shimmer glitter gloss pen as well as the edge of the bigger top cloud. Once I added it to the Navy card base I felt like I needed a pop of color to brighten the whole thing up so I added some of the Really Rainbow 6x6 paper pad from Lawn Fawn as an accent.

I've Bean thinking of you - MFT Stamps

Ever since I saw the card by my friend Christy Gets Crafty using this for set from My Favorite Things Stamps I knew I had to have it! I just love coffee ☕️ and if you don’t know me yet I had five or six cups a day! I’m truly a #coffeeaddict!

 I started with the color of the year from Patone and built my palette around that. I really love the peach, pink, navy and mint together. I tried to do my strawberry blond hair for one of the ladies. I like how that turned out. I can relate to her because I have the big wavy hair too. I also grew up with a westie puppy named Cappy so I colored the little dog in the set like her.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 43 – Wonderful Winter

Hello again friends, this card is for the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge. My card features Making Frosty Friends a long time favorite set. The clouds are the Simple Puffy Cloud dies and the hills are from Stitched Hillside Borders.  The sentiment is from Winter Big Scripty Words. I was inspired by Jenn Shurkus for my card. (Glitter!! Snowmen!!) The background is blended distress oxides for the theme of the challenge. The colors made such a pretty sunset sky. I added copic opaque white for the snow.

Pink Penguin Fun - feat. Hello Bluebird

Hello and welcome friends! I have a quick holiday card to share with you in some non traditional colors. I absolutely adore the penguin stamps this year! I like to collect penguin stamps for the holidays.  Hope you enjoy!




For this card I ink blended on Bristol cardstock with three shades of distress oxide inks in my favorite pink colors. I started with the lightest about 1/4 of the way up the cardstock in Spun Sugar, the middle shade is Worn Lipstick and a small amount of Picked Raspberry at the top edge. I stamped snowflakes from the same stamp set in all those colors as well. Finally I splattered the whole thing with copic opaque white. It comes in a little jar and I mix up a bit on my craft mat with some water. It doesn't pick up the distress ink color the way other paints tend to.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 38 – Awesome Autumn

Its halloween & fall time! Its my favorite time of year! I decided to enter into the new challenge. I hope to have a few entries for this one as I really enjoy fall cards.

MFT Superstar Challenge 2018

I thought I'd give the MFT super star challenge a try this year in the 3 D category (Innovation Master). I saw a very fun technique in a video done by Dawn H. and decided to give it a try. Be prepared for many more cards done like this! It adds a crazy amount of dimension without the added bulk for mailing. I used no foam tape on this card!

A Spooky Halloween Shaker/Pop up - Mama Elephant

Even though its well into the 90s here in Chicago I am already in the mood for my favorite holiday; Halloween! I decided to make a shaker featuring the Meowlloween stamp set from Mama Elephant.

The front of this card I decided to make into a shaker to feature these adorable little cats. They are copic colored using greys (C0, C3, C5 & C7), greens (YG23) and oranges (YR00, YR02 & YR04). The background is ink blended using distress oxides in wilted violet & shaded lilac.

For the inside I decided to do a little more ink blending with twisted citron & the little witch cat on the Pumpkin die from the favor bag die add accessories.

Stamping for Families blog hop

I created this card for our blog hop to promote keeping families together and reunification of those who have been separated. This is not about political affiliation but instead about compassion. My little boy is 3 and I haven't spent a night away from him in all that time. I cant imagine weeks or months not know where he was or who was looking after him. The idea alone has given me nightmares.
