Yeti Or Not - GCOC

***Update: Winner is Meghan!***

Hello Crafty Friends! Thanks so much for joining. You should be arriving here from Jenn; a full list of participants is linked over on Jenn's Blog! Jenn is hosting a YouTube LIVE on December 15th at 8p ET sharing how she made this months card; that would be the perfect time to grab some of those supplies and craft along with us!

Yeti or not its the last Get Cracking of the year! I hope you've been playing along with us all year and have a whole pile of special cards and aren't cramming it in last minute. But if you have been let me incentivize you for next year by offering a $25.00 gift card to Butterfly Reflections Ink (sorry friends US only due to shipping from the store). Just leave a comment here on the blog to enter By Dec 31. One entry per person. I will update this post and on Insta with the winner by Jan 6th. That way you can get some new Christmas goodies for next year to play along with us!

For todays card I started by die cutting some Neenah cardstock with the Stitched Mountain borders and the Stitched Hillside borders. I then took the top panel and inked it with distress oxide in salvaged patina and then the mountains in shaded lilac. I heat embossed the sentiment directly and nestled it between the two biggest mountain tops. For the images I used Yeti or Not, Happy Howlidays and Joy to All. I inked up the tree from Joy to All while I masked off the carpet. I just like the size of this tree with my Yeti. I then copic colored all the images and finished them off with stickles and that’s it!

Copics used: BG13, BG11, BG10, BG0000, BV13, BV01, BV31, RV11, Y35, Y13, Y11.

Stickles: Diamond and Crystal

Thank You - RAM

 Hello Crafty Friends! Happy Sunday! I’m here with a  Rachelle Anne Miller digi design “Canadian Beaver” because I couldn’t resist this sweet pair. I decided to add a fall twist just because.

For the background I used distress oxide in Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers & Uncharted Mariner. There is a reel of the ink blending up on my Instagram (cardsbysharna) if you are curious. I then white heat embossed the sentiment, it really pops off of the teal in the background. Then I copic colored the images.

Copics used:

E49, E47, E44, E43 {tails}

E29, E27, E25, E23, E21 {bodies}

RV69, R46 {leaf}

YR18, YR16 {leaf}

You are a Treasure - RAM

  Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Sunday! I’m here with a new design team project featuring “Pirate Treasure” digital stamp from Rachelle Anne Miller Art

Far from home - RAM

 Hello Crafty Friends! I have news! I am super excited to be joining the Rachelle Anne Miller design team! She has some of the sweetest designs that I love to color.

For this card I used the new ‘Astronaut Explorer’. For the background of my mini slimline card I started with some distress Oxide in Shaded Lilac and added a touch of Blueprint sketch along the horizon. I then splattered it using my Gansai Tambi starry colors in white gold.

I printed my image onto some Neenah 80lb and colored using copics.

Spring Showers - Mama Elephant

 Hello Crafty Friends! I am here today with a fun little card featuring a Mama Elephant stamp set Flower Shower & Lil Cat agenda. Inspired by all the rain we have been getting here I just couldn't resist.

On some Bristol cardstock I first used some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink coming down from the corner. Then I placed my cloud stencil and using Peacock Feathers Oxide I filled in the rest. Once dry I stamped on my sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink because I find it stamps the best over the oxide. I got out my white Gel Pen and added some tiny raindrops to set the mood.

I copic colored the tiny cats (there is a reel over on my Instagram, CardsbySharna, if you want to see the coloring!) I used YR 24, 21, & 30 for the cat bodies & added E99 for the stripes with a bit of R20 for the cheeks. For the flower I used B02, 00. For the stem of the flower and the puddle I used BG13, 11, 10.

Elphie Splash - Lawn Fawn

 Hello Crafty Friends! I am back with an entry for Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #123 - Create a Scene! Nothing more fun than creating scenes with Lawn Fawn stamp sets. You can mix and match to your hearts content always knowing the images all work together seamlessly.

For todays card I used the mini set Elphie Selfie Flip-Flop for my main images, & Beary Rainey Day for the supporting images and sentiment. I couldn't resist making it a mini slimline too.

I used distress oxide ink in Salvaged Patina and Hickory Smoke on some Bristol smooth cardstock. I then splattered the background with some Gansai Tambi starry watercolor in white gold for some texture and the appearance of rain.

The sentiment I stamped using Versafine Onyx Black which I find is the darkest when stamping over oxide inks. While that dried I colored my images using copics. Once I glued on the clouds I took the single raindrop from the Beary Rainey Day set to stamp under the lower two using the same Salvaged Patina ink.

Copics Used: N4, N2, N0, C0; R00; BG13, BG11, BG10; G000, G00 (there is a Reel up on my Instagram/Tiktok @ CardsBySharna showing the coloring of the main images)

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #120 Entry

 Hello Crafty Friends! I am back this month with another entry for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #120. This one is all things Birthday so I couldn't resist.

For the background I inked the entire card with the new Saltwater Taffy distress oxide ink. Its such a gorgeous color! I then took the longer strawberry field stamp from the Berry Special set and stamped it in Abandoned Coral. For the mice I copic colored them with N5, N3 & N0. I used the N5 very sparingly in just a few places because I wanted them to be fairly light. The strawberries and overalls I did in R29, R35, R22 & R20. The sign is colored with E37, E35 & E31. I then inked another paper with those same copics and that's what I used to die cut my big sentiment. Once die cut I covered it with the new Sparkle Glaze.   I stamped the rest of the sentiment in more black ink before adding Sweet to a wavy Banner and popping it up in the middle with foam tape.

GCC - March

Hello Crafty Friends! Thanks so much for joining me. You should be arriving here from Jenn; a full list of participants is linked over on Jenn's Blog! Jenn is hosting a YouTube live on March 24th at 8pm Est. sharing how she made this months card; that would be the perfect time to grab some of those supplies and craft along with us. Can you believe its March already?? I sure can't. Its finally starting to warm up here and I've started my spring planting.

Todays card features the Lawn Fawn stamp set Penguin Party and Mini Slimline Stackables

First I  took some Salvaged Patina distress oxide and lightly inked the sky for my background. I took some cool grey copics for my penguins in C5, C3, C1 & C0 with a little YR02, & YR00 for the beaks and feet. The igloo I used a bit of BG10 just around the edges of the lice blocks. For the sentiment I did some masking so I could use the Salvaged Patina for the large Smiles part of it. And lastly I added some Stickles in Crystal for some added sparkle snow in the sky!

Time for Hot Cocoa - Mama Elephant

 Hello my crafty friends! I have this fun Mama Elephant card to share with you today. How many Christmas cards have you done so far this year? Im working on my last batch but its been so much easier now that I do at least one a month all year long! But its crunch time even for me so I am working in batches on easy cards with relaxing coloring (check out my Instagram to see my coloring reel for this card!)

For the background I took a piece of dark teal 110# cardstock and ink blended all around the edges with a blender brush using distress ink in Black Soot. This really is a simple technique and draws your eye into the focal image. Once that was done and dry I went ahead and splattered it with my Gansai Tambi Starry Colors in white gold for a snowy look and extra interest with a hit of shimmer.

The images are copic colored as shown on Insta.

Marker colors:
C7, C5, C3, C1, C0, R10 for cheeks, YR14, YR00 for beaks/feet (penguins)

Today’s card features a bunch of sets from Hello Bluebird. Coffee Friends for the rabbit and the squirrel, Snow Play for the birds and a sentiment from Typed Christmas. The card itself is a non standard size of 3.5x5. I’ve been just loving this size lately.

Get Cracking on Christmas DEC - Jenn Shurkus

   Hello Crafty Friends! Thanks for joining me on another edition of Get Cracking on Christmas!

My good friend Jenn Shurkus (Shurkus.com) has been doing the Get Cracking series for several years. Each month on the third Thursday we will be posting new inspiration and hopefully encourage you to get Cracking on Christmas!

If you want to participate (and there is a prize!) head over here to the link up! Or use the hashtag #getcrackingonchristmas on Instagram to participate.

We are getting down to the wire for those Christmas makes! I am now working on those more quick and simple but still impactful designs. Today's card features Lawn Fawn stamps and dies. The background is a simple tone on tone stamped with a light grey ink and colored with one grey copic marker that matched!

I feel like these kinds of cards give a big impact even though its relatively a simple design. The pop of color from the car and sentiment really stand out against the monochrome background. The car is from Car Critters & the Deer and accessories are from Car Critters Christmas add on.

I hope I've inspired you for some last minute Christmas card makes. Its not to late to get a few cards out in the mail to friends and family even if it just sends a simple Wish you a Happy Holiday inside and your name it can mean a lot to the person on the other end.

A Very Pink Holiday - Pretty Pink Posh

 Hello Crafty Friends! Today I have a slimline card featuring Penguin Pals from Pretty Pink Posh. These are one of my absolute favorite sets from Paulina. I am using non traditional colors here in this holiday card with the pinks, light greys and mint.

The background was mostly Spun Sugar distress oxide with a hint of Picked Raspberry on the edges. The snow flakes were also done in the Picked Raspberry but I stamped it off first before going to my project. The penguins are stamped in River Rock ink from Lawn Fawn and colored using copics. They are C3, C1 & C0 on the bodies. The white on the mug and hats were done with N2 & N0 with a little colorless blender for smoothing the edge. The pink is R81, RV11 & RV00. The mint on the trees is G00 & G000 and E31 for the trunks. Lastly the light blue on the scarf is BG10 and BG000.

Little Polar Bears - Pretty Pink Posh

 Hello Crafty Friends! I am here today with a new winter card featuring the Bear Friends stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh. For a more winter feel for this card I turned the bears into Polar Bears. I was inspired by a recent video from Christy of Christy Gets Crafty who showed this idea!

For the background I used distress oxide inks in Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough & Chipped Sapphire. I splattered for snow with Dr. Ph Martins Bleed Proof white which worked really well. For the copic coloring I used C3, C1, C0 & 0 for the polar bears with a little R11 for the ears and cheeks and toe beans. For the stump I used E43, E40 and a little YR21 for the leaves.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Big Bear Hugs - Pretty Pink Posh

 Hello Crafty Friends! I am back with some Pretty Pink Posh inspo.  This one features the bears from Bear Friends stamp set. And one of the frames from Stitched Photo Frames dies.

First I used distress oxide inks to blend my background. I started with Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimon & Barn Door. After I let the ink dry I splattered it with light gold from the Starry Watercolors Gansai Tambi watercolor pallet.

Then I white heat embossed the sentiment from the set that says "Bear Hugs" and the companion sentiment "From me to you" is white heat embossed on black cardstock and popped up. The images were stamped right on to the stitched squares and I copic colored them. E55, E53, E50, R20, YR02, YR00, E74, E70, Y38, Y35, Y31, BG000, BG10. And that's it!

Thank you for stopping by!

You are Brave - Pretty Pink Posh

 Hello Crafty Friends! Can you believe its already the last day of August? This is my last (obviously) card for August for Pretty Pink Posh. Another slimline, I'm totally on the bandwagon with this size. Its fun to break out of the normal size range. This is another card featuring the Hibiscus Flowers stamp set along with the Simple Sayings: Brave stamp set. Finished off with my favorite Sparkling Clear sequin mix.

Distress Oxide background was done by blending on some Worn Lipstick and then stamping over that blending using the same color. I did a tiny bit of copic coloring to the centers of the flowers with RV10 and that was it!

Pretty Pink Posh Design Team

Hello my lovely crafty friends & Happy Monday!

I am staying on with Pretty Pink Posh for another term. Be sure to stop by the PPP blog for a giveaway!  I am so happy to be creating so many fun things with my teamies. I hope to have many more months of showing you inspiration for all your PPP goodies. On that note, on to today's card!

I had to use my favorite little hippo from the Jungle Additions stamp set! Every time I make a shaker card I ask myself why I don't make more of them! I did this one with the Stitched Duo 3 die for a unique window opening. I took an ink blended background using Abandoned Coral & Ripe Persimmon for a bright pop of color. The leaves and Hippo are all done with copics. I had fun adding the pink tip of the leaves on one of the bunches of leaves. For the shaker I added Sparkling clear and Ballerina pink sequins. Lastly the sentiment is white heat embossed on black. I picked Congratulations from Simple Sentiments because its so versatile.

Thanks for stopping by!
