Happy Monday Crafty Friends! I have a pair of fun cards today!

Todays cards are some CAS birthday messages perfect for anyone! I stamped the main sentiment with distress oxide inks in Salvaged Patina & Twisted Citron. Then I stamped the support sentiment and the image in regular black ink and boom, done!

Supplies:

Everyday Word Party, Stacked Birthday Word Set. Both from Flora and Fauna Clear.

Distress Oxide Inks in Salvaged Patina & Twisted Citron.

Bunny Birthday - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! Everyone knows I love a good stencil so you can imagine how excited I was for this bokeh layer stencil and THEN Tim released the new Pink Kitsch Flamingo and it was a match made in heaven!

I used Kitsch Flaming, Spun Sugar & Picked Raspberry for the background with the new stencils. I did some simple copic coloring on the bun with some C1 & C2 for shadows, RV11, RV10, RV00 for the frosting and candle with a bit of YR31. I popped him up on the new Valentine Circle and stamped the sentiment in a curve around the edge.

Sparkling Birthday - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! Birthday, Birthday & More Birthday! I NEVER have enough birthday cards. So I've really been concentrating on building my stash back up. I just adore the new Birthday Cake Die from Pretty Pink Posh & just how easy it is to get an eye catching card in a few minutes.

For the background I used the new Speckled Egg distress oxide along with Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire inks in a gradient effect. Then I die cut the background die out of some silver sparkle paper. I left the inside piece of the cake stand in to give it some weight. I just love how it looks. I also stamped the sentiment in the Peacock Feathers Oxide ink as well. I also under the Simple Stripes Dies to cut it out. I feel like using a die cut banner looks a little more polished then just straight cuts from a trimmer.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Celebrate - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty friends! Back with some more birthday inspiration for you featuring new Pretty Pink Posh products from the January Release.

For the background we ink blended with the new Kitsch Flamingo, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio. These have to be my top distress ink colors right here and I love how they look in a blend! Then I took the new Layered Confetti Stencils and ink blended on using white pigment ink.

The image is from the new Valentine Circles set but I wanted to show this set is very versatile and works for more than just Valentines. This was colored using some copic markers and I attached directly to the background because I knew I wanted to have the die cut go across part of it and I didn't want to add dimension because of it. Lastly I die cut 2 of the sentiment to layer on top to pop it up a bit.

Koala Cake - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! Second installment of my birthday series. This one features the Koala from the Party Friends Stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh. I used all my favorite color combos in this one. The sentiment is from the Everyday Greetings set

The bankground is done with distress oxide inks in Blueprint Sketch & Shaded Lilac. I stamped the stuff over the background in the same Blueprint Sketch ink. The copic colors are: W5, W3, W1; B69, B66, B63; Y11; C1, C0; R11. I added some diamond stickles on the candles as a finishing touch.

Bun Cupcake - Pretty Pink Posh

The sentiment and the critters are all from Cupcake Critters stamp and die set. The critters are colored with Copics in E53, E51, E50; W3, W1, 0; E39, E37, E35; YR30, YR31; C3, C1, C0; RV14, RV13, RV11, R29, R27, R24; R20, R11, R00. Leafy Celebration - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Craft Friends! For today I needed a card for a coworker in a more masculine tone. I chose twisted citron distress oxide for the watercoloring in the background. It was just a simple wash. The leaves are from the Hibiscus Flower stamp set by Pretty Pink Posh. The sentiment is from the Simple Sentiments stamp set. I finished it off with a few Spring Green jewels.

Quick cards featuring Jungle Background Stencil - Pretty Pink Posj

Hello Crafty Friends! I have a couple of quick and easy cards to share in case you have last minute need for. I used the Jungle Background Stencil and the Simple Sentiments stamp set

The background for each one is done with distress oxide through the jungle stencil the pink is done with Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar. The Green is Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover.

I took the simple sentiments and inked the whole set up with Versamark and I white heat embossed all the sentiments so now I have a pile to use whenever I need a fast sentiment.

Thank You!

Turtle Love - Lawn Fawn

Hello Crafty Friends! Today's card features a mix of old an new Lawn Fawn products. I made this card as a custom request for a coworker. Her boyfriend recently had back surgery and its his birthday. And she just had to have a turtle theme. I hope he loves it!

For the background I used distress oxides. First I took some watercolor paper & wet the whole area I planned for the background to be. I dropped the darker lucky clover around the edges and the lighter twisted citron towards the center. I allowed the water to blend the two together as it air dried.

For the coloring I used my copics. The Greens are YG13, YG11 YG00 & G17. I added a little E53 & e50 for the edges of the shells and E50 for the bandaid & cake as well. The Frosting is E59, E57, E55. The present is done in Y13 and Y00 along with the candle flame.

Its Bananas! - Mama Elephant

Hello Crafty friends! I have been loving the Whimsy Alpha set from Mama Elephant so of course I had to make a Banana's card! I used the new Zodiac Monkeys & the vines from Swinging Boarders. And use the new Slim card basics for my first slim line card!

First I lightly ink blended twisted citron distress oxide over the bottom of my panel that I die cut with the new dies. Over that I added cracked pistachio distress oxide to create a new green color. I did the same with stamping the vine. I stamped first in twisted citron and then over the top with the cracked pistachio. I added a hint of tumbled glass for the sky and then splatted my panel with the same colors. I die cut the letters with the alpha stamps and did an ombre inking to the letters with scattered straw.

Lastly I colored the monkey and banana with my zig clean color real brush markers. I only used one color per color family and blended out with my blender. Of course I ordered two new blender pens and then found my missing one! So now I have three. Ha!

Tropical Birthday - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! Im here with a new Pretty Pink Posh card. This style is a little outside my comfort zone but I was inspired by a nursery room print I saw on Pintrest. I love how it turned out! I used the sentiment from Everyday Greetings, the leaves from the Hibiscus Flower stamp set & the lion from Party Friends!

Fly me to the moon - Avery Elle

Hello Crafty Friends! I have a video here for you today and I am so excited to finally get it posted! I shot the video back in February but so many things got in the way; first I was sick, and then I had other work that was under deadline etc etc. So don't mind my allergies and nasal sounding voice; I promise I am ok. This time of year just makes me super congested.

So for the colors for the background: Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon & Chipped Sapphire. I splattered with water, white gold Gansi Tambi starry color & Lawn Fawn's liquid stardust for shimmer.

The copics I used are: E21, E11, E000; C7, C5, C3, C0, B02, B00, B0000, E27, E25, E23, BG72 & BG70! I finished off the card with some Pretty Pink Posh Silver star sequins.

A slothy birthday! - Mama Elephant

Hello Crafty Friends! I mean can you even with the Little Sloth Agenda? I couldnt resist. I made my own cover die using the Little Agenda Frames and I love how it turned out!

I started with a pale green cardstock base for this case. I blended on some distress oxide inks in Shabby Shutters for the first layer and then some mowed lawn to deepen the color around the edges. I die cut the rounded rectangle frame from the frame die set into a strip of white cardstock and added my sentiment strip. I have a bunch of these sentiment stripes while heat embossed on black cardstock and it makes finishing off a card so easy! The sloths I had pre colored prior as soon as I get the set because I couldnt resist. The colors are E40, E43, E44 and E47. The green is Yg17 for the leaves and YG23 for the little birthday hat.

LAWN FAWNATICS CHALLENGE 74 – CARD SKETCH

Hello Crafty Friends! I am joining in last minute to the Lawn Fawnatics challenge. Inspiration struck last night, around 9:30pm and I decided just to go with it. This is my take on the sketch shown below.

The background is one of my favorite patterns from the Hello Sunshine (remix) petite paper pad. In my head I was seeing the cow jumped over the moon so I grabbed a cow from the Hay There stamp set. The stars in my design is the smaller star in the Shooting Star die set.  I made a moon using the Stitched Circle Stackable dies. And some stickles glitter in diamond to add some sparkle. For the sentiment I took a Fancy Wavy Banner die and a Make a Wish from the Party Animal stamp set to finish it off. Oh and the stars and banner are all inked using Distress Oxide in Mustard Seed!

Rainbow Wishes - Lawn Fawn

Lawn Fawn is celebrating 10 years! That's a big accomplishment and deserves a big congrats! Their stamps have brought me so much joy over the years. So Happy Birthday Fawnies!

For today's card I am featuring the new Dandy Day patterned paper & stamp set. I also used Cole's ABCs for the sentiment. I really like the grey background with a pop of rainbow!

I die cut the words out of plain white cardstock so as not to waste a bunch of paper. & then did some Ombre ink blending with distress inks to match the rainbow colors in the paper. If you look close the paper has little dots in all sorts of colors. I then did some simple copic coloring on the mouse so he could be blowing on his Dandelion.

Quick Cards in a Hurry! - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends!

We have all been there, inevitably we have a function or event and we have run out of cards! This happens to me a lot no matter how many I try and keep on hand. This is especially why I love stencils for a quick but impactful card. These new layering stencils are absolutely awesome for that! They look like they took quite some time but really come together in a flash.

This first card is done with the Layered Hearts stencil. First I put down a light layer of  Spun Sugar distress oxide down 2/3rds of the card for a nice fade out. My first heart layer I used Worn Lipstick and then Abandoned Coral. For a sparklie finish I used some of the Friendship mix sequins.

This card is using Layered Birthday Stencil. I love how these look together, like a party on a card! I started with a light layer of Cracked Pistchio distress oxide. The Banners stencil layer I did in Peacock feathers and lastly I did the Balloon Layer in Mermaid Lagoon. While inkin the stencil I used less and less pressure and ink the farther down I went until it fades off to white. I did the same above with the hearts. Lastly I stamped the sentiment with the same Mermaid Lagoon ink on some pearl vellum which is attached behind the card front to keep it in place. The sparkle detail on this one comes from the Caribbean Blue Jewels which happen to be my favorite. Im going to do these in a bunch of colors to keep on hand. (And hopefully not have to do more last minute!)

Birthday Lion - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! Who is always running out of birthday cards?! You betcha. I never can have enough on hand. I was super excited for all the birthday stuff in this release to get my birthday card stash built back up. I used the new Party Friends stamp set & Happy Birthday to You script die along with the older Hibiscus Flowers stamp set.

I built this card from the background up. I picked my distress oxide in colors Ripe Persimmons over Dried Marigold. I started with a base of dried marigold about halfway down the card. Then  I layered over the Ripe Persimmons over the top quarter or so of the panel for that nice ombre effect. I die cut the sentiment four times out of white cardstock and layered them together for nice dimension.

I just adore this little lion and had to give him his very own card. I tried for a jungle feel for this. I think my son will love it. I used the large leaf image from the Hibiscus flower set for the background images. For the lions gift box I tried to match my copic colors to my background colors. This is where having a copic coloring chart (I personally recommend Sandy's Copic Hex Chart) comes in handy. The Ribbon is YR07, YR04 & YR02. The box is YR02 & YR00. I did a bit of color layering by giving the ribon a once over with the YR00 to bring a little bit of the peachy color back. The YR07 is very orange. For the Lion I used E55, E53 & E50 on the face and body and his mane is E29, E27 & E25. Leaves are BG78, BG75 & BG72 as well as G05, G02 &G00.

Birthday Surprise! - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! You know what I never have enough of? Birthday cards! I was really excited to have some birthday specific items featured in this months Pretty Pink Posh release.

I wanted to keep this card ready for anyone so I did a darker teal with orange color scheme. The background is some simple ink blending with distress oxides in Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed. I used the new Birthday Frame die and die cut some plain white cardstock to overlay the background. I also white heat embossed a small sentiment.

The Koala and sentiment comes from the Party Friends Stamp set. I copic colored the Koala using W5, W3 & W1. The teal part of the cake is with BG78, BG75 & BG72. The Candles are BG49 & BG45. The yellow/orange accents are Y38, Y35 & Y13. I love how the teal pops against the orange background.

Birthday Blog Hop - PPP Turns 6!

Hello Crafty Friends! Its blog hop time! Can you believe Pretty Pink Posh turns 6 this year. Incredible achievement for my friend Paulina.

The background features distress oxide ink blended with a narrow blender brush and then splattered with a bit of water. Colors: Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey, Cracked Pistachio, Broken China and Wilted Violet. The balloon was diecut out of plain white cardstock and turned into a shaker. I filled the shaker with clear seed beads. They sound great and move really well even if they are a bit of a pain to photograph.

Birthday Dragon - My Favorite Things

Hello Crafty Friends! I'm here with a My Favorite Things card featuring some of the older Dragon and Fairy-tale sets. The castle comes from the Knight in Shining Armor set. The dragon, princess & knight all come from the BB Magical Dragons set. And lastly the sentiment comes from Once Upon a time.

I shaded the background using distress oxide ink in Broken China with a bit of Mermaid Lagoon around the edges. I did the same for the pathway using Scattered Straw. The edges of the hills are shaded in Cracked Pistachio to give a little bit of separation between them.

I colored the images using copics. The knight and castle are done in C5, C3 & C1. The dragon is G17, G02 & G000. The dress on the Princess is RV11, RV10 & RV00.
