Valentine Hearts - PPP

 Hello Crafty Friends! I'm here with some cards featuring the new release from Pretty Pink Posh!

I wanted to make a few cards that would lean heavily into Valentines Day but would still work year round. I made these using the new Valentine Hearts set and the sentiment sets are from All My Love. I white heat embossed all the hearts from the set (twice) onto some watercolor cardstock. Once they were water colored I took some distress inks in Festive Berries Oxide and did some Ink smooshing on a plastic mat, sprayed with water before dipping my whole sheet of embossed hearts into it. . I did the same for the second card except I used Abandoned Coral Oxide. Once they air dried I cut them out with the matching dies. I took some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and flicked it with white paint and dried that before adhering all the hearts. The sentiment I stamped in matching inks to their backgrounds and just cut them to fit.

Twu Wuv - Avery Elle

Hello Crafty Friends! I am back with another Avery Elle card featuring the cupid set. I of course had to make the traditional card to go with my Galentine's card.  (Which is being featured on Scrapbookpal.com today!)

I started with a true red card base and added some black soot distress ink to the edges to create a center highlight which really draws your eye into the images. I used ink instead of oxide so they it would soak into the cardstock and smooth out a bit for a better blend since I wasn't using another color.

The images I kept simple with a bit of copic coloring. Skin - E000, E00, E11 & R20 and YR24 for the freckles! The hair is YR24, YR21 & YR31. A little N2 for shading on the pants and the clouds. The Red on the arrows is R89, R29 & R27. I white heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock. As a finishing touch I added some little heart sequins.

Gimme Kisses - My Favorite Things

Hello Crafty friends! I'm here today with a new MFT card. This is more on the CAS side for me which I have really been enjoying lately. A little spotlight ink blending, a few images, done! The card is great for Valentine's or any time you want to tell your sweetie you love them.

I started with a piece of pale pink cardstock from my stash. I blended on a bit of Worn Lipstick distress oxide first and faded that toward center leaving the highlight in the middle the original cardstock color. Then very lightly in the corners and around the edges I darkened the blend up with some Picked Raspberry oxide. When I use the oxides I prefer the large blender brushes for a nice soft blend. Once the panel was dry I splattered it with some white paint.

I did very minimal copic coloring to these Panda. I adore the whimsical look to the stamping. I added a bit of C2 to add a bit of depth to the white areas and R20 to the cheeks. I also used R20 & R11 on the two hearts. And that's it! The sentiment was white heat embossed on black cardstock and all the images are popped up with some 3m foam tape. Lastly I added a bit of glossy accents to the hearts to finish it off.

Bear Hugs - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello crafty friends! I am back with some Pretty Pink Posh inspiration for you. I am happily staying on with Pretty Pink Posh for another term! Don't forget to check the Pretty Pink Posh blog for a giveaway.





Today's card features the Bear Friends stamp set and some sparkling clear sequin mix with a little spotlight ink blending. I cut a little frame using some thin paper to use as a mask for my ink blending. Once I taped it into place I ink blended first with a layer of Spun Sugar distress oxide and then some Worn Lipstick around the edges for a little added depth. The little bear and tree stump are colored with copic markers. Lastly I added a little heart embellishment and my sequins.

Copics: E53, E51 E50 for the bear, YG23, YG00 for the leaves & E59, E47 & E55 for the tree stump.
