Valentine Hearts - PPP

 Hello Crafty Friends! I'm here with some cards featuring the new release from Pretty Pink Posh!

I wanted to make a few cards that would lean heavily into Valentines Day but would still work year round. I made these using the new Valentine Hearts set and the sentiment sets are from All My Love. I white heat embossed all the hearts from the set (twice) onto some watercolor cardstock. Once they were water colored I took some distress inks in Festive Berries Oxide and did some Ink smooshing on a plastic mat, sprayed with water before dipping my whole sheet of embossed hearts into it. . I did the same for the second card except I used Abandoned Coral Oxide. Once they air dried I cut them out with the matching dies. I took some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and flicked it with white paint and dried that before adhering all the hearts. The sentiment I stamped in matching inks to their backgrounds and just cut them to fit.

Brave Lion - June Pretty Pink Posh Release Blog Hop

Hello Crafty Friends! Its that time again, a new release from Pretty Pink Posh! This June release is just chock full of amazing stamps, dies & stencils. Its absolutely fantastic! You definitely need to check out the whole release HERE and probably save yourself some money and just order the whole bundle, ha!

For today's card I am featuring the Zebra from Jungle Friends, the grass from our Nature Essentials Dies and a sentiment from the new Simple Sentiments stamp set. I did simple two color blends with my copics for the zebra to make him a bright and fabulous Rainbow! 

Red: R20, R11

Orange: YR04, YR02

Yellow: Y13, Y00

Green: G02, G00

Blue B02, B00

Purple/Indigo: BV04, BV01

Black stipes: N10, N8

I inked one of the grassy boarders from the essential dies with some cracked pistachio distress oxide and cut it down to just wide enough for him to be standing in some grass so the image is grounded on the card. A simple black sentiment on a while sentiment strip really stands out against the black of the background.

Toucan Do it! - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! I'm back again with one of my favorite Pretty Pink Posh sets, Tropical Toucans! I just love anything tropical so its no surprise I come back to these. I also hope you are ready for a new release! Sneaks are being shared on Instagram & revealed on the Pretty Pink Posh blog.

I started with inking the background for this card. Its a simple two color blend using Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral. I love this combo together for a tropical sunset feeling. Its one of my favorite blends I use very often.

Next I took another peice of cardstock and die cut my center window to create a spotlight for my scene & sentiment. I stamped the sentiment directly on my ink blended panel in jet black ink. I stamped and die cut the images using the left over I cut out of the middle. I like trying to use up my scraps as I make them. 

Lastly I did a bit of copic coloring for my bird and branch. The toucan is N10, N8, N6 for his body and the tip of his beak. I then used to shades of pink combos for the other sections on the beak; RV13, RV10 & RV00 as well as R20, R11, R00. I used these same pinks on the flowers. I though the bright pink and the peachy pink complimented the background which is why I chose them. I took some bright green for the leaves in YG17, YG23 & YG21. The branch itself is E44 & E43. And that's it! Makes a great encouragement card.

Twu Wuv - Avery Elle

Hello Crafty Friends! I am back with another Avery Elle card featuring the cupid set. I of course had to make the traditional card to go with my Galentine's card.  (Which is being featured on Scrapbookpal.com today!)

I started with a true red card base and added some black soot distress ink to the edges to create a center highlight which really draws your eye into the images. I used ink instead of oxide so they it would soak into the cardstock and smooth out a bit for a better blend since I wasn't using another color.

The images I kept simple with a bit of copic coloring. Skin - E000, E00, E11 & R20 and YR24 for the freckles! The hair is YR24, YR21 & YR31. A little N2 for shading on the pants and the clouds. The Red on the arrows is R89, R29 & R27. I white heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock. As a finishing touch I added some little heart sequins.

Birthday Blog Hop - PPP Turns 6!

Hello Crafty Friends! Its blog hop time! Can you believe Pretty Pink Posh turns 6 this year. Incredible achievement for my friend Paulina.

The background features distress oxide ink blended with a narrow blender brush and then splattered with a bit of water. Colors: Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey, Cracked Pistachio, Broken China and Wilted Violet. The balloon was diecut out of plain white cardstock and turned into a shaker. I filled the shaker with clear seed beads. They sound great and move really well even if they are a bit of a pain to photograph.

Stamptember - Pretty Pink Posh

Welcome crafty friends! Today I am featuring the Pretty Pink Posh Stamptember exclusive. Today I went for a clean and simple design; my attempt at a classic look. Still have my ink blending of course but this time over some bright gold embossing. These trees are perfect for so many different occasions.  I hope you enjoy my take with these stamps.

I used a few different inks here in  Broken China, Peacock Feathers and Blueprint sketch. I used my blender brushes and Neenah 110# cardstock. I gold heat embossed the trees on top and the sentiment on a simple black cardstock strip.

A Spooky Good Time! - Lawn Fawn

Hey hey crafty friends. Back again with another entry to the new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. Who doesn't love a good scene right? I could resist this spooky new stamp set from Lawn Fawn so it was out of the package pretty much the day I got it. More where this came from!

The sky is inked with distress oxides in Shaded Lilac and Blueprint Sketch. The scene is copic colored. House was done with BG78, BG75 & BG72 I used all cool greys from C1-C7 for the roof and the grave yard. The pumpkins are Y38 & Y35 with a bit of YG61 for the leaves. Lastly the trees are E47, E44 & E43.

Its Almost Pumpkin Time! - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! I have a quick card to share with you all today. Just lots of my favorite thing, Ink blending! I used the new Stencil from Pretty Pink Posh Pumpkin Background Stencil and a simple sentiment from the Fall Signs stamp set. Perfect to let someone know you are thinking of them and grateful for their kindness. I added some Raspberry Jewels to finish off the card.

I used all my orange distress oxide inks on this one; Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber & Dried Marigold. I used the Pixie Spray on the back of my stencil to hold it down and then used a blender brush for my oxides. The sentiment is white heat embossed on black.

A Spooky Halloween Shaker/Pop up - Mama Elephant

Even though its well into the 90s here in Chicago I am already in the mood for my favorite holiday; Halloween! I decided to make a shaker featuring the Meowlloween stamp set from Mama Elephant.

The front of this card I decided to make into a shaker to feature these adorable little cats. They are copic colored using greys (C0, C3, C5 & C7), greens (YG23) and oranges (YR00, YR02 & YR04). The background is ink blended using distress oxides in wilted violet & shaded lilac.

For the inside I decided to do a little more ink blending with twisted citron & the little witch cat on the Pumpkin die from the favor bag die add accessories.
