Letters to the heart - PPP

Hello Crafty Friends! Im back with new Pretty Pink Posh

I used a Slimline Scallop Frame, the envelope from All my Love & a sentiment from an older set School Friends. I used distress oxide ink blended on the background in worn lipstick, abandoned coral and candied apple. I used those same inks to stamp out the little envelopes. I filled in the hearts by water coloring a bit with the same color. I added a bit of stickles to the hearts too for a bit of sparkle. Lastly I heart embossed the sentiment and added some red heart sequins. Its not strictly a Valentines Themed card so I feel like it would work any time of the year.

Valentine Hearts - PPP

Hello Crafty Friends! I'm here with some cards featuring the new release from Pretty Pink Posh!

I wanted to make a few cards that would lean heavily into Valentines Day but would still work year round. I made these using the new Valentine Hearts set and the sentiment sets are from All My Love. I white heat embossed all the hearts from the set (twice) onto some watercolor cardstock. Once they were water colored I took some distress inks in Festive Berries Oxide and did some Ink smooshing on a plastic mat, sprayed with water before dipping my whole sheet of embossed hearts into it. . I did the same for the second card except I used Abandoned Coral Oxide. Once they air dried I cut them out with the matching dies. I took some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and flicked it with white paint and dried that before adhering all the hearts. The sentiment I stamped in matching inks to their backgrounds and just cut them to fit.

Twu Wuv - Avery Elle

Hello Crafty Friends! I am back with another Avery Elle card featuring the cupid set. I of course had to make the traditional card to go with my Galentine's card.  (Which is being featured on Scrapbookpal.com today!)

I started with a true red card base and added some black soot distress ink to the edges to create a center highlight which really draws your eye into the images. I used ink instead of oxide so they it would soak into the cardstock and smooth out a bit for a better blend since I wasn't using another color.

The images I kept simple with a bit of copic coloring. Skin - E000, E00, E11 & R20 and YR24 for the freckles! The hair is YR24, YR21 & YR31. A little N2 for shading on the pants and the clouds. The Red on the arrows is R89, R29 & R27. I white heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock. As a finishing touch I added some little heart sequins.

Be my Galentine? - Avery Elle

Hello Crafty friends! As much as I love Valentines or Love themed cards I was absolutely head over heels for the additional sentiments included in this Cupids set from Avery Elle that was designed by Elena. Perfect for any friend or for a gal pal on Galentine's day!

I found some light pink cardstock in my stash that was just a few shades lighter than my worn lipstick distress ink. This time it is ink, and not oxide. I used a regular foam blending tool and brought the Worn Lipstick in around the edges to create a spotlight effect. I then splattered the whole panel with white paint. I kept it heavy around the edges.

Cupid, the birds and the little cloud I colored with Copics.  I wanted a little redheaded cupid (because I'm a redhead!) So I used some YR24, YR21 & YR30 for the hair. The skin is E11, E00 & E00 with a few dots of YR24 for freckles above his nose. I added a little R11 for the cheeks and white pen details. The wings are outlined with a touch of N2 and the birds, cloud, cupids undies and arrow are all done with R20, R11 & R00 and a light glaze of RV00 over top to try and match the background a bit more since Rs are more on the peachy side. I white heat embossed the sentiment on some black cardstock. Lastly I added a little silver confetti heart to the cloud.

Gimme Kisses - My Favorite Things

Hello Crafty friends! I'm here today with a new MFT card. This is more on the CAS side for me which I have really been enjoying lately. A little spotlight ink blending, a few images, done! The card is great for Valentine's or any time you want to tell your sweetie you love them.

I started with a piece of pale pink cardstock from my stash. I blended on a bit of Worn Lipstick distress oxide first and faded that toward center leaving the highlight in the middle the original cardstock color. Then very lightly in the corners and around the edges I darkened the blend up with some Picked Raspberry oxide. When I use the oxides I prefer the large blender brushes for a nice soft blend. Once the panel was dry I splattered it with some white paint.

I did very minimal copic coloring to these Panda. I adore the whimsical look to the stamping. I added a bit of C2 to add a bit of depth to the white areas and R20 to the cheeks. I also used R20 & R11 on the two hearts. And that's it! The sentiment was white heat embossed on black cardstock and all the images are popped up with some 3m foam tape. Lastly I added a bit of glossy accents to the hearts to finish it off.
