Leafy Celebration - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Craft Friends! For today I needed a card for a coworker in a more masculine tone. I chose twisted citron distress oxide for the watercoloring in the background. It was just a simple wash. The leaves are from the Hibiscus Flower stamp set by Pretty Pink Posh. The sentiment is from the Simple Sentiments stamp set. I finished it off with a few Spring Green jewels.

Quick cards featuring Jungle Background Stencil - Pretty Pink Posj

Hello Crafty Friends! I have a couple of quick and easy cards to share in case you have last minute need for. I used the Jungle Background Stencil and the Simple Sentiments stamp set

The background for each one is done with distress oxide through the jungle stencil the pink is done with Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar. The Green is Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover.

I took the simple sentiments and inked the whole set up with Versamark and I white heat embossed all the sentiments so now I have a pile to use whenever I need a fast sentiment.

Thank You!

Bring Joy - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Craft Friends! Im here with some more holiday goodness featuring the new Pretty Pink Posh winter release. I just adore these large sentiment dies Paulina has been coming out with. I wanted to do something simple but striking here with the new Joy Coordinating Dies set over an inked background using the Christmas Background stencil. The die cut is also covered in Nuvo shimmer pen in Glitter Gloss.

Don’t forget the sale starts today too!

I inked the whole background with distress ink in Cracked pistachio and then I laid the stencil over top and ink blended on some Pine Needles, then Evergreen Bough and finished the bottom 1/3rd with the same Cracked Pistachio to create an ombre look.

Thanks for Stopping By!

Stamptember - Pretty Pink Posh

Welcome crafty friends! Today I am featuring the Pretty Pink Posh Stamptember exclusive. Today I went for a clean and simple design; my attempt at a classic look. Still have my ink blending of course but this time over some bright gold embossing. These trees are perfect for so many different occasions.  I hope you enjoy my take with these stamps.

I used a few different inks here in  Broken China, Peacock Feathers and Blueprint sketch. I used my blender brushes and Neenah 110# cardstock. I gold heat embossed the trees on top and the sentiment on a simple black cardstock strip.

Puppy's Favorite Things (Release Week Neat & Tangled)

Last card for this release! I had so much fun joining the rest of the DT for this months release. Hope I provided a little inspiration. Thank you so much for all the love here and on Instagram!!

& Neat and Tangled here!

Onto the card...

I just about squealed when I saw this little guy. Kitty's favorite things is one of my favorite stamps & this is the perfect friend. I made so many Kitty cards that I will now have to make a bunch of Puppy cards for all my dog loving friends. This dog was customized for a friends birthday to look just like her pooch. I can't wait to surprise her!

The background is done with a some ink blended cracked pistachio distress oxide ink and spritzed with a light misting of water. I thought the tiny stars out of my sequin mix from Lucy's Little Things worked as a perfect little bit of glitz on this otherwise pretty CAS card.

Thanks again! Have a fantastic day!

Happy 10th Blogiversary Jenn!

http://shurkus.com/everyday-life/happy-10th-blogiversary

My good friend Jenn Shurkus is celebrating her 10th year of blogging! Isn't that amazing? I'm so excited to be a party guest at this celebration! If you you didn't get here from there, go visit her HERE. We aren't celebrating alone, be sure to check out the other party guests and even join in the fun too! Plenty of fun prizes to be had! And some pretty awesome sponsors too.

Jenn was one of the first crafters to really encourage me with her kind words and helpful comments. I love visiting her page and seeing what new project she is working on.

So we are all going to CASE a card from Jenn. I chose these guys since they are so much fun. Anyone who follows me on instagram (Littleyellowbirdy118) you saw a preview a week ago.

I just love Jenn's bright colors. I hope I did OK! What do YOU think?

A New Shaker - W Plus 9

Made this card using one of the new WPlus9 sets Unforgettable. First I cut the mint card stock with the Mama Elephant Femme Frames dies and cut the pink & white from the rectangle of the same set. I layered 2 layers of 3m foam tape around the cut out circle & filled the shaker pocket with the spring mix sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Lucky Kitty - Lawn Fawn

Just had to share a quick Lawn Fawn card I made using the new "My Lucky Charm" stamp set.
I also used some gold foil paper for a bright accent and Pretty Pink Posh sequins in sparkling clear & raspberry.

Two cards for the new challenge hosted by Lawn Fawn & Simon Says Stamp!

Both cards use the new Lawn Fawn Stuck on You stamp set. I adore this new set & matching dies. The Simon Says stamps are Tilted banner sayings & Sketchy banners. Both are great staple sets that cover a variety of sentiments.

All sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh
The top card features the spring mix
& the bottom are 4 mm sparkling clear

Wee One - Mama Elephant

I got my new Mama Elephant stamp set, Just hatched and I absolutely love it! This is the very first card I made using this stamp set and my brand new Wink of Stella pen. I was pretty happy to discover the Wednesday challenge at Simon fit right in.

I used some distress ink for the background water color, stamped the little owl and the sentiment in black ink and glued on some added bling. For the sparkle I used the pen on the owl. It was hard to get a good picture of the sparkle.

For the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:

Glitter It

Oh Happy Watercoloring!

I have a new card today featuring some of my new favorite additions. First is the Hello Sunshine stamp set from Lawn Fawn which is what I used for the clouds, the sentiment and the water drops.

I also used Distress Inks from Tim Holtz (don't I always?!) in Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade. I smooshed the inks onto a clear block and just used them like water colors and used a wet paint brush to brush on large washes of the colors and then blended them together. I then lightly misted this with water.

Once that dried I stamped on the clouds in grey shadow ink. I stamped the raindrops with the same peacock feathers but since I didn't mist them they show darker. I used some gold embossing for the sentiment because it just contrasts so lovely with the colors.

I looked at the card and decided it wasn't balanced so I decided to add some embossing paste. I will admit I am slightly obsessed since picking this up. Its so fantastic! I colored the paste a tiny bit with some of the Picked Raspberry ink. I just smooshed the ink onto a scrap paper and plopped a dollop of the embossing paste on top and mixed it together.
