Hello Crafty Friends! Here is my entry into the Hometown Challenge being done by Tammy!

Miss Seaing you Friend - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! Sorry its been a minute but I have some Pretty Pink Posh goodness to share with you today. Of course I had to do a few slim line cards. I am loving this style. I got out my much loved Sea Friends stamp set.

First I inked my background with distress oxides in Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch & Chipped Sapphire. I used some shimmer powder and added water and splattered my background to act as my bubbles. I also added some splatters in a few brown distress ink colors to my sand.

Then I used some bristol smooth cardstock to stamp out my images and some tombow markers to watercolor them in. (Im sorry I dont have the marker colors listed)

Lastly I stamped out my sentiment from the stamp set on some regular which cardstock and cut it out.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Hang in There - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! I am here with this fun no line coloring featuring the new Monkey Friends stamp set. These were done on Bristol Smooth cardstock with Zig clean color real brush markers. I have the set of 26. I also used the new Jellyfish ink from Lawn Fawn to stamp out my images. Overall they are a pair of clean and simple cards (for me at least!) I hope you like them!

Pretty Pink Posh Design Team

Hello my lovely crafty friends & Happy Monday!

I am staying on with Pretty Pink Posh for another term. Be sure to stop by the PPP blog for a giveaway!  I am so happy to be creating so many fun things with my teamies. I hope to have many more months of showing you inspiration for all your PPP goodies. On that note, on to today's card!

I had to use my favorite little hippo from the Jungle Additions stamp set! Every time I make a shaker card I ask myself why I don't make more of them! I did this one with the Stitched Duo 3 die for a unique window opening. I took an ink blended background using Abandoned Coral & Ripe Persimmon for a bright pop of color. The leaves and Hippo are all done with copics. I had fun adding the pink tip of the leaves on one of the bunches of leaves. For the shaker I added Sparkling clear and Ballerina pink sequins. Lastly the sentiment is white heat embossed on black. I picked Congratulations from Simple Sentiments because its so versatile.

Hang in There - Pretty Pink Posh June 2020 Release

Hello there crafty friends! Back with another card from the new Pretty Pink Posh June release. There is a fantastic new die out with this collection called Nature Essentials Dies that can be used to create so many scenes. There are just so many ways each piece can be used. They really maximized the space when designing it too.

The dies do not cut apart, instead you run it all through at once and it cuts all the individual pieces you need. I die cut mine out of white cardstock and then used ink blending to color each section. Super quick and easy! And they are so versatile. I also cut out the vine from the Stitched Leafy Borders dies for my monkey to swing from. The Monkey is from Monkey Friends stamp set & the Hippo buddy is from Jungle Additions

Turtle Love - Lawn Fawn

Hello Crafty Friends! Today's card features a mix of old an new Lawn Fawn products. I made this card as a custom request for a coworker. Her boyfriend recently had back surgery and its his birthday. And she just had to have a turtle theme. I hope he loves it!

For the background I used distress oxides. First I took some watercolor paper & wet the whole area I planned for the background to be. I dropped the darker lucky clover around the edges and the lighter twisted citron towards the center. I allowed the water to blend the two together as it air dried.

For the coloring I used my copics. The Greens are YG13, YG11 YG00 & G17. I added a little E53 & e50 for the edges of the shells and E50 for the bandaid & cake as well. The Frosting is E59, E57, E55. The present is done in Y13 and Y00 along with the candle flame.

Hello Little One - Lawn Fawnatics Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends! These are my entry for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 77! I always am in need of baby cards so I took to the opportunity to make several.

For this I did simple watercolor backgrounds with distress oxide inks and very simple copic coloring. I stamped a part of each sentiment in the same color of ink so it coordinated. I used an older set tht needed some love to do all these cards. Its from 2014 release and is called Hello Baby.

Missing You - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! In my bid to get ahead the other day I made a whole bunch of ink blended backgrounds. Because inkblending was going so well that day I decided to do a few more involved ones.

For this one I used masking and with masking taped off the bottom of the card. I proceeded to ink blend with a light tumbled glass for the sky. To get a lighter application I chose a large brush and started on the tape moving slowly into the card stock and fading the color so it was darkest near the horizon. I then dried that with a heat gun so I could mask off the sky without trying to get the tape to stick to wet ink. For the pond I wanted something kind of murky looking. I started with a base of peacock feathers and then around the outside edge I used some evergreen bough to tone it down.

For copics I went way outside my normal greens and reached for my dark BG colors for this card featuring the frogs from the Pond Friends stamp set. BG78, BG75, BG72 for the big frog and for the little one I used BG75 as my darkest and added BG70 for my lightest. the lily pads and cat tails were done with BG99, BG96 & BG93. Tops of the cat tails were E44, E43 & E40. The little lily flower was RV11, RV10 and RV00.

Get Cracking on Christmas - Jenn Shurkus

My good friend Jenn Shurkus (Shurkus.com) has been doing the Get Cracking series for several years now. This is year 3! Each month on the third Thursday she will be posting new inspiration and hopefully encourage you to get Cracking on Christmas!

If you want to participate (and there is a prize!) head over here to the link up! Or use the hashtag #getcrackingonchristmas on Instagram to participate.

My card today features some Lawn Fawn from Ho Ho Ho Holidays! I made a mini card for this month, perfect to slip into a gift bag. I will be honest and admit I use a lot of gift bags! I just hate wrapping.

I started with my background panel and inked the whole thing with a light coat of Distress Oxide ink in Faded Lilac and then very lightly added some Blueprint Sketch to the top. I die cut a simple stitched hillside border for the snow.

I then stamped and die cut the images from Ho Ho Ho Holidays & stamped the greeting on the background with black ink. I did some copic coloring on all the images and finished off Santa's hat with some glitter which I tried to get a photo of above. Its super sparklie with the Lawn Fawn glitter.

Copics:
Red R29, R27, R24 & R20
Yellow Y35 YR30
Brown E49, E47, E44, E41 & E40; E11, E00, E0000
Grey N0

Good Luck! - Mama Elephant

Hello Crafty Friends! Im here with a good luck card featuring the Mama Elephant Zodiac Ox stamp and die set for this St. Patty's day along with Whimsy Cuts for part of the sentiment. I wanted something that could be used outside of just St. Patrick's day but still gave a nod to the theme. So green and shamrocks it is!

I ink blended using distress oxide in in Cracked Pistachio in the middle and lucky clover around the edges. I then spattered the whole thing with gold watercolor for some added texture and shine. The cows and accessories are colored very simply with copic markers. G02, G00 made a good match to the green background for the shamrocks.

Kitten Wishes - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! I was just so excited and inspired by the newest little additions to our family that I had to make a card to celebrate. This was another favorite set of mine from Pretty Pink Posh called Cuddly Cats.

For the background I die cut out of a white panel of cardstock three different sizes of circles. This was inspired by a card I received from Christy of Christygetscrafty. I adored her layout so I had to make my own. For the circles themselves I used distress oxide in Twisted Citron, Spiced Marmalade and Peacock Feathers.

The kitties are colored with copic markers. I picked some of my favorite kitten fur patterns. I couldnt narrow down my choices so I picked four. I just think they are the cutest things.

Brown: E44, E43 & E41
Orange: YR24, YR21 & YR30
Greys N10, N8, C5, C3 &C1
Pink: R20

Just hanging around - Hello Sweetums

Hello Crafty Friends! Here with this ridiculously adorable Funky Monkey stamp set from Hello Sweetums. Its got some super cute monkeys paired with a bunch of punny sentiments. Also includes some scene builder elements which I always appreciate.

I started with a base of distress oxide blending in twisted citron and mowed lawn. I stamped the solid leaf stamp from the set just to give the top edge some texture. The monkey's are copic colored with E47, 44, 43 & 41. The leaves are YG67, 63, 61 & a top coat of YG03 to brighten them up a bit. Bananas are YR24, YR30 and Y11. I stamped the solid leaves again in the mowed lawn. The sentiment is white heat embossed on black cardstock.

Can you get over how cute they are??

Be Friends - Waffle Flower

Hello Crafty friends! I've been so excited to play with some of my new Waffle Flower goodies! I just had to start with the new Be Her set. I started also in on the 100 days project on Instagram and these cards just kind of fell together because of that. My 100 day project are backgrounds. I am just playing with different media and color combos and hopefully at the end of it will have made 100 cards!

The backgrounds were done with distress ink water colored on some Bristol paper. All except the unicorn; if you can spot the subtle off white color. I have no idea what that is but it was mixed in with my pre-cut Bristol. I didn't notice until I was photographing that it didn't match the rest. I did some very simple copic coloring on all the animals. In fact the bodies are all done with C1-C5 in varying amounts. For the sentiments I grabbed some of my other Waffle Flower sets. I think the kitten is my favorite. I love this set so much I had to get the companion Be Him set as well. Can't wait for it to arrive.

Dino-Mite! - Lawn Fawn

Hello crafty friends! Just a few quick cards I whipped up for my local shop here in Chicago; Craft Fancy. I just love playing with the dino sets from Lawn Fawn. This has both Critters from the Past (Tree ) and Rawsome. I used the new Spiffy Speckles petite paper in purple for the bottom layer and some distress oxide in dried marigold.

Fairy Friend - Mama Elephant

Hello everyone! I've got an extra sweet fairy card today. I was instantly in love with the fairies as soon as I saw a sneak peek from Mama Elephant. They pair so perfectly with the new floral boarder set as well. I always like to have a general occasion card on hand so this worked out perfectly.

For the floral boarder I stamped on some Bristol paper using Jet Black ink from Lawn Fawn and then got out several shades of purple, green and yellow Tombow Dual Brush pens. I used only one color and blended out with a water brush. The fairies are done with copics.

Copics: BV13, BV11, BV31 & BV0000; E21 & E00; E44, E43, E40
Tombows: 603, 606, 676, 055, 879, 177, 249, 243, N55
