LAWN FAWNATICS CHALLENGE 108 - Entry

 Hello Crafty Friends! I am entering the newest challenge (108) photo challenge for Lawn Fawnatics! Nothing like slipping in last minute. 

This image inspired the background on my card. I die cut a circle of masking paper and placed it on my white cardstock. I used distress oxide ink in cracked pistachio right around the moon and into that I blended in peacock feathers to the outer edge. It wasn't dark enough for me to go with the photo so I added some blueprint sketch very lightly to the edges. Lastly for the background I added some splatters with liquid stardust. I colored my die cut images with copics and added glossy accents to the candy for an extra detail.

Wicked Fun - Pretty Pink Posh

 Hello Crafty Friends! Ive got another Halloween card for you. I never used much of these even though I make lots. But I sure did this year! Lots of kiddos need a treat in their mailbox. 

Distress Combo: Milled Lavender, Wilted Violet oxide with a bit of black soot ink on the top edge. I also splattered the background with the same black soot.

A little Batty - Pretty Pink Posh

 Hello my Crafty Friends! Im here today with a spooky Halloween inspired card today featuring some goodies from Pretty Pink Posh!

To start I inked the background in Twisted Citron distress oxide down 3/4 of the card leaving the bottom the white of the cardstock. I then brought in Mowed Lawn around the edges of the Citron. That still wasn't dark enough for me so very lightly I went over that with some black soot. I then took some of the white gold Starry Colors and splattered the background as stars for my spooky night scene. 

The two bat images are from the Boo stamp set which I copic colored N8, N6, N4, N2 & N0. I also used these same greys on the outfit of the little girl from the Trick or Treat Friends stamp set. Her Green shirt and tights are YG23, YG21 & YG00. The little pumpkins are also from this set and are colored with YR04, YR02 & YR00. The moon was a last minute addition insisted on by my Husband. ha! I think it was a great idea. For some fun dimension I used a mini action wobbler! Check out my instagram stories to see it in action.  Lastly I white heat embossed the sentiment (Also from Boo) on some black cardstock to ground my images.

Spooktacular Halloween - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! I hope you have a spooky evening tonight! Halloween has always been a favorite holiday for me. I love horror movies, books etc ever since I was a kid. However I HATE haunted houses! I'll walk through a real graveyard at Midnight on devils night before I do another Haunted House. Ha! I used to not make Halloween cards even though I loved all the images, I mean who do you give them to? My answer now is, other crafters! I love getting Halloween cards. I will be sending out a few this year including this one.

This card features distress oxide ink blending over the Pretty Pink Posh Spider Web Stencil. I used Faded Lilac first in the center. Coming in from the edges I used Blueprint Sketch and then lightly with the black soot. I then splattered the background.

Spooky Day - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! I am here today with a card featuring the new Spooky Fence die (on sale this week with all the Halloween stuff!)

The background on the card is ink blended with distress oxide ink in Blueprint Sketch & Shaded Lilac. The ground is Twisted Citron and Shabby Shutters. The kids and pumpkins featured on this card are from Trick or Treat Friends and copic colored. The bat and spider are from the Boo Stamp set. Lastly to finish it off I added a few jewels from the Boo Jewels Mix.

Trick or Treat - Lawn Fawn

Hello crafty friends! I am here with another entry to the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, Create a Scene. I used the same set with a trick or treat theme this time and a sunset glow in the air. Nothing better then trick or treating as a kid. I have so many fond memories! That's why I find this new set so appealing.

A Spooky Halloween Shaker/Pop up - Mama Elephant

Even though its well into the 90s here in Chicago I am already in the mood for my favorite holiday; Halloween! I decided to make a shaker featuring the Meowlloween stamp set from Mama Elephant.

The front of this card I decided to make into a shaker to feature these adorable little cats. They are copic colored using greys (C0, C3, C5 & C7), greens (YG23) and oranges (YR00, YR02 & YR04). The background is ink blended using distress oxides in wilted violet & shaded lilac.

For the inside I decided to do a little more ink blending with twisted citron & the little witch cat on the Pumpkin die from the favor bag die add accessories.

Batty For You - Featuring Pretty Pink Posh

Hello all, back with another card featuring Pretty Pink Posh!

I got this little tiny bat stamp at the last craft show I went to and I really wanted to use it for a Halloween card but I find it really difficult to make tiny stamps the main image. What to do? That's where the Pretty Pink Posh story book dies really do the trick. I'm thinking I need all of them! This one is Storybook 3.

I also can't seem to make a card without sequins and on this one I used two of the PPP mixes; Enchanted Mix and Wisteria Blossoms Mix. The other dies including the background stitched rectangle and the clouds comes from Lawn Fawn; as well as the sentiment.

Hoppy Halloween!

Hello! I am happy that its soon going to be my favorite time of year, fall! Halloween has always sorta been a big deal around here. We are all a little crazy about it! When I saw this super cute stamp set from Lawn Fawn I had to get it.

I made the background for this card with Distress Inks by Tim Holtz. I am super crazy about distress inks, but you have to not mind getting dirty! I used regular make-up sponges to do some blending. For the green grass I put a post-it down to block the top two thirds of the card and blended mowed lawn distress ink downwards. Then I removed the mask and flipped it around to mask the green (I left a very thin strip of green still visible to blend the sky into so no white would show) I used tumbled glass and then faded jeans and finally black soot. I started off the paper with the black soot so it wouldn't be to heavy or streaky. Also, I should mention I used some water color paper to do this on. I find it works better for me when blending & coloring. I then stamped the star from this set in stazon ink in jet black. I took a wet paint brush and dabbed the middle of the stars with water. I then blotted this with a cloth to remove some of the ink. This allowed me to go back over it with some faded marigold (I used a distress marker this time).

The bunny has a tiny bit of copic coloring in grey just to outline him so he had a bit more dimension. I used C1 - cool grey to outline him. The cloak and pendent are more distress markers as well as the carrot, moon & clouds. I coated his cloak in distress stickles in clear rock candy for a little sparkle. The background paper is Halloween parade by doodle bug! Love this paper, so cute!

Little Grey Card

So I decided to do my first challenge for Lawnscaping. I had a really hard time trying to stay inside the rules and not add a little orange to my little halloween inspired card. The pumpkins are a really cute stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I am sorry I can't list all the paper for you as I used scraps on this card and I am horrible about keeping those organized. I usually just pile them on the corner of my desk until they all fall down in a huge mess. :P
