Hello Little One - Lawn Fawnatics Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends! These are my entry for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 77! I always am in need of baby cards so I took to the opportunity to make several.

For this I did simple watercolor backgrounds with distress oxide inks and very simple copic coloring. I stamped a part of each sentiment in the same color of ink so it coordinated. I used an older set tht needed some love to do all these cards. Its from 2014 release and is called Hello Baby.

Sweet Dreams Baby - Mama Elephant

Hello Crafty friends! I have a new baby card to share with you all now that its been received by the new mama I made it for.

I used an older Mama Elephant set, Just Hatched, for the sentiment. In fact I think this was one of the first sets I got of theirs. Its still a favorite of mine. The little bunny is a newer set called Wish Upon a Star., isn't it the sweetest?

For the background I took some colored cardstock in light blue, it saves me from having to ink the whole panel. Instead I took Broken China distress ink around the edges first and then I brought in Mermaid Lagoon and finally some Blueprint Sketch very lightly around the edges. I stamped in some stars before finally splattering the whole panel with watercolor for some texture to look like tiny stars in the distance. I did some very simple copic coloring for the Bunny image. C3 & C1 with colorless blender on the bunny and some R20 on the cheeks and ears. B02, B00 & a tiny bit of Y11 on the belly of the bird. I took the some B0000 to outline the cloud to give a tiny bit of dimension there. And finally the sentiment is white heat embossed. And that's it, I hope you liked it!

Just ducky! - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Crafty Friends! Im back with more from the new Pretty Pink Posh release for March! The new Baby stamp and die set just has so many fun images and things to use but I was immediately smitten with the little rubber ducky and just had to give him his own card!

As with the first card I did some no line water coloring with my Zig real brush markers. I am just loving this yellow color! I first outlined my images with the yellow and used the blender to pull the color upward into the image. I finished with a little orange for the beak and added the eye with a fine line black pen.

For the background I did some really simple ink blending with Broken China distress oxide that starts heavy on the bottom then fades to white. I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Little Ones stamp set. To finish off the card I added some Aquamarine sequins to look just like sparkling water for the duckies to be swimming in!

Dino-Mite! - Lawn Fawn

Hello crafty friends! Just a few quick cards I whipped up for my local shop here in Chicago; Craft Fancy. I just love playing with the dino sets from Lawn Fawn. This has both Critters from the Past (Tree ) and Rawsome. I used the new Spiffy Speckles petite paper in purple for the bottom layer and some distress oxide in dried marigold.

Yippee! A new baby is coming - Lawn Fawn

Hello again friends! Today I have a baby shower card to share. Possibly my second most favorite kind of card to make because I just adore babies (I have another hobby as a Newborn Photographer) and I love sharing the love with new expecting friends. I broke out some of my older Lawn Fawn sets to bring this card together.

I did a simple messy watercolored background here with  regular distress ink in Salty Ocean and a flat bristle brush. Once that was dry I stamped the raindrops from the Hello Sunshine in distress oxide ink also in Salty Ocean. Also, now hidden, I stamped the clouds from the same set. I was unhappy with how that turned out so I got out my Simple Puffy Cloud dies instead.

The Happy Shower sentiment came from the Hello Baby Lawn Fawn stamp set. I love using the mixed fonts. The Happy was white heat embossed with Lawn Fawns white embossing powder which is my go to for sentiments. I didn't feel like it was standing out from the background enough so I used my C1 copic marker to add a drop shadow to the right of each letter. The shower portion was stamped with the same Salty Ocean distress oxide.

I finished the card off with a few simple embelishments. I covered the rain drops in Morning Dew Nuvo crystal drops. A handful of Sparkling Clear sequins in various sizes. I covered the bottom cloud with my Aqua Shimmer glitter gloss pen as well as the edge of the bigger top cloud. Once I added it to the Navy card base I felt like I needed a pop of color to brighten the whole thing up so I added some of the Really Rainbow 6x6 paper pad from Lawn Fawn as an accent.
